Amis du lac has several initiatives, including education through outreach, sponsored club activities, and the support we provide to Jean-Louis Courteau. He focuses on education and the history of our environment and has been very successful in getting the milfoil under control and cleaning and monitoring of the trout spawning beds. These efforts ensure the aquatic life and lake residents have a clean, natural environment in which to thrive. With our support he can continue to keep the milfoil in check, through annual monitoring and manual removal. It is a time-consuming process and requires special equipment.
